Over 20,000 Toyota fans “Liked” the page in the first week, with the fan base now sitting at over 62,000. And it’s not just Facebook users that are impressed – Facebook itself is using the campaign as a model of how brands should drive online engagement on the social networking site.
It’s obvious the campaign is a success both in the eyes of the agency, consumers and Facebook, but what does Toyota think of this innovative, digitally focused campaign? According to Toyota’s Asia Pacific Regional Marketing Manager Adrian Lim, they love the direction Saatchi & Saatchi is taking. “The current HSD campaign is the most digitally-savvy and socially-focused effort in the region to-date,” Lim said in Campaign Brief. “We are very pleased with the campaign success and the performance of our marketing partners.”
